We are getting on that plane!

I cannot believe we are about to be in Guatemala and start our new life -- finally!

But first rewind -- we almost didn't make our flight. Well that is a little dramatic, but it could have been the case. When we packed out we decided we would pay the extra fee to have heavy bags and a few extra so we could have as many belongings with us as possible...mainly extra suits for Craig so he wouldn't have to wear the same thing every day and extra toiletries -- for some reason that gave me extra comfort --but who knows what I was really thinking. Anyway this was the plan and we had all of this extra stuff with us. The Saturday before our Monday flight I decided to recheck the airline policy to double check the prices -- to find out there was a luggage embargo...yes, EMBARGO!!!! We have all of this crap and the airline won't take it, even if we throw our money at them!

It is Saturday, we leave in two days, and what in the hell are we going to do?!?!? Well, more than once the Post Office at Union Station has saved my ass for work - god only knows why they stay open so late, and it turns out also seven days of week -- so once again Union Station and all the homeless people and whackos are coming to our rescue! We bought up a bunch of boxes from Uhaul (and borrowed their duck tape -- ghetto!), sat in line with many strange people, and shipped off our extra stuff. It turns out the stuff we wanted with us the most, will probably be the last to arrive, but at least we can get on that plane and not be the first person in history to miss their flight to post -- so embarrassing!
